bad messages of the stress analyst…

Today the stress analyst (Mr. Pribek from Vienna) was with a restaurant inspection with us locally. So far I had always assumed that the Gewölbekeller under the old house could become a problem, but that was far been missing. A well trained Tonnengewölbe that is practically no “horizontal thrust” developed and therefore no problem makes, but the true problem is the foundation of the old house! Our sample excavation has devoted that it built is as if no cellar would be under it and if one digs 2 meters beside it an excavation exists the danger it slips away. The stress analyst strikes a “venture” before i.e. along the house is in sections up-dug and the foundation to to the cellar foundation extended. Thus I can adjust myself to a few thousand euro extra costs: - (
